My son moved into a new home with jarrah timber flooring in all the halls and living areas. The floor was bonded to a concrete pad but he noticed it was parting from the concrete in many areas. We now believe this was due to the flooring not being completely dry. We sought professional advice and was told we would have to drill every loose board and pump 'As good as nails" under each board and nail them down, We found this was okay where there was a large air gap but the adhesive was not fluid enough to penetrate into the finer cavities. We also had difficulty finding an applicator that would develop enough pressure. Selly's Aquadere Durabond not only solved the problem but because it expands on hardening we could see how well it had penetrated. By drilling a 3mm hole in the floorboards where we found a hollow sound we could force the adhesive under the boards usung a surgical syringe, You can buy a bag of them from any chemist for about 40cents each. A good tip is to let any surface adhesive oozing out the sides to set hard before trying to remove the excess.
